Growing travel in Brazil: New records in domestic and international flights in Brazil

The Brazilian Ministry of Tourism forecasts that year 2010 will beat previous records in the Brazilian travel industry. Last month the domestic flight departures reached 6 million and the forecast for the full year is 65 million domestic flight departures, an increase of 16% compared to last year. The numbers for international flight arrivals in Brazil for 2010 are estimated at 7 million, which also is a new record in the Brazilian travel industry...

According to a new study, the average daily rates for Brazilian hotels, is among the fastest growth rates in the world. The average daily rates for hotels in Brazil have increased by 10,4% and is largely due to the well performing economy in Brazil. More than 340 hotels, resorts and condos in Brazil were included in the study. Almost 93% of the hotels in Brazil are not affiliated to a hotel brand, which represents 75% of the total number of hotel rooms in the Brazilian hotel market...
