The middle class in Brazil is expected to increasingly invest in Brazilian property

According to a recent study, 37% of consumers belonging to the middle class segment C, is expected to invest in a Brazilian property during the next months.

At the moment, the class C which is the official middle class segment in Brazil is estimated to be at 100 million consumers. This would mean that 37 million Brazilians are about to invest in a Brazilian property in the near future.

Foreigners cannot yet obtain bank financing for Brazilian property investments, but Brazilians are increasingly taking out bank loans for their property investments. According the study, one of the main factors that is playing a big role is the solid Brazilian job market which gives Brazilian consumers increasing confidence about increasing their debt level.

Besides investing in Brazilian properties, the middle class is also increasingly buying other products. It is expected that over 9,5 million consumers in the middle class will buy a car within the next 12 months.
