The state of Alagoas will see the opening of 25 new hotels until the year of 2012. Maceió which is the state capital of Alagoas, will see most of the hotel investments which will amount to 450 million R$ BRL. Like their foreign counterparts, Brazilian hotel groups are also expanding their operations in Brazil. One of the biggest Brazilian hotel groups, Atlantica Hoteis Internacional, is planning to open 24 new hotels in Brazil until year 2013. The expansion will add another 5000 hotel rooms to the group’s hotel portfolio in the Brazilian hotel market. Currently the group operates 75 hotels in Brazil with a total of 12000 hotel rooms...
